SketchUp in Windows Vista, or not?

A week before the official release of Vista, Google owned company @Last released a new version of SketchUp. Version 6 works great in Windows XP. Vista is a different story. After a little struggle I succeeded in running it under Vista.

At the moment of writing, SketchUp 6 has no Vista support. Kinda weird knowing that the release candidates for Vista are widely available some time now and that almost every new PC sold these days has Vista pre-installed. Potential new customers are being left in the dark.

The road from XP to Vista

I installed the final release of Windows Vistaon my notebook last week. To share my discoveries in this process I added an extra section to my weblog. In this issue: A clean install with the Upgrade Version.

3 Days before the official release the postman delivered my very own copy of Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade. My plan was to install it next to my Windows XP on a seperate partition so I could dual boot for the time being. You never now what programs won't work in Vist.
