Kluun at Lowlands 2009

Kluun at Lowlands 2009

During the Lowlands festival in Biddinghuizen in August of this year, Anky and I went to see the NightWriters. The NightWriters is an effort of a popular Dutch writer, called Ray Kluun, to make reading literature less elitist. He lets all different kind of Dutch and Belgium writers read short stories and poems, intermingled with performances of his favorite bands.
During his show at the Lowlands Festival, he went on stage to sing Bruce Springsteen's 'The River', but instead of the original lyrics, he had translated the song into a dialect spoken by the people living in the Dutch province of Northern-Brabant. The result was quite hilarious, and luckily Kluun was accompanied by two professional guitarists to hide the fact that he can't sing at all. I decided to snap a picture of him with my iPhone and post it on Twitter.
When I was reading Kluun's blog, I discovered he used my photo in one of his blog posts! Thanks Kluun for giving me some more exposure ;)
