My Very Own House

Over 6 months ago, on October 14th 2009, Anky and I went to a notary to sign the legal documents involved in purchasing a house. This is by far the most expensive object I have ever bought, and choosing a house from the many houses available on the market wasn't something we did overnight.
Our search started way back in 2007. Because I had limited funds back then, we visited some apartments that were for sale. We decided that we would wait a few years so we could afford something bigger, and more importantly, something with our own roof and garden.
Thirdwing Heerlen v2.0

In the start of 2009, one of the most valuable members of the Thirdwing choir decided to end her singing career. She was also in part responsible for the choir's website. I was asked as her replacement, and I gladly accepted.
Development of a new site was already being planned, so I took the chance to switch the site from a static Frontpage design to a full featured Drupal 6 site.
Features include a dynamic events calendar, member only content and an extensive photo gallery.
More than a year of designing, building and adding content went by until the website was launched on April 1st 2010.
Thirdwing Heerlen
Thirdwing is a choir, based in Heerlen, The Netherlands. They've had a website since 2001, and two years after I joined them to play the guitar, I was asked to help maintain the website.
Holodeck 3
Holodeck 3 is one of the oldest Star Trek websites on the net. The domain name was acquired from the original owner by Nick Moline in 2001 (?).
