Time to give an update about the previous months. A lot has happened since I updated the site 2 months ago.
iPod
Let's start with some commercial talk. My Samsung MP3 player abruptly stopped working after my brother took it for a spin and therefore I was looking for a new one. The Samsung absolutely did not suit my needs. It had a lot of functions. Too many functions. It could do a lot but was very clumsy in use.
Albertz Hendrix | Architecten v2.0

Albertz Hendrix Architecten BNA bv is an architectural design bureau and my current employer. They wanted their site to become more alive, so they asked my for ideas.
I came up with a site based on the Joomla content managment system. All employees of the bureau get their own login and can add articles about the projects they are working on. Hopefully this will lead to more activity on the site.
Sporthuis Reintjens v0.0

Sporthuis Reintjens is my aunt and uncle's sport-accessories shop. I made a design for their website that included an easy web based back-end to manage the item inventory. They didn't use this version and instead decided to have the site hosted by a friend who would also maintain the site for them.

Version 3.0 of this site. Running on Joomla 1.5 and Gallery 2.
I retained the overall look of version 2.0 with some little tweaks. For the first time all content of the site was handled by one system, with the exception of the images.
Renewed Website.... again

Once again welcome on my renewed website. I discovered a new content managment system that I used on a website for a company, and I really liked it. So much that I decided to use it for my personal site. And this is the result.
It still needs tweaking and adding of a lot of content, but the most important sections are back on-line.
Please note that the comments posted on the previous blog software are not transfered to the new system.
Roy on Tour
16 August, 2006 - 22:19 — RoyIn about 12 hours I will be leaving for Biddinghuizen again for the anual Lowlands festival. This marks the start of the Autumn/Winter tour 2006. In november I will see Tool again (3rd time after Pinkpop and Heineken Music Hall this year) and I might even get some tickets for the Muse concert in November.

Two weeks ago I signed a contract with Albertz Hendrix Architects in Elsoo. I will start working there next Monday. Last Friday was my last day at Widdershoven Architects where they found a more experienced replacement for me. I thank them for allowing me to get more experience in the profession of Architectural Drawer.

Widdershoven Architecten v2.1

Widdershoven Architecten is an architectural design bureau. During my employment there I optimized and updated the company website. The website is basically a company portfolio.
The design was maintained but I completely rewrote the code to use CSS and to get rid of the frames. I also made a thumbnail based gallery for the project portfolio.
