Version 6.1 was practically a rewrite of Version 6.0 to incorporate the new release of YaBB. YaBB went from version 1.2 to version 2.0. It was absolutely necessary to use version 2.0 because of the added functionality and security fixes.
The look of version 6.1 differs a lot in comparison with v6.0. The changes were greater that the version numbering would suggest. The data storage of the added features (ranks, deck layout, etc.) of the site was moved from text-based to mySQL.
Last weekend Anky and I went to the Lion King musical in the Fortis Circustheater in Scheveningen.
We spent the night in the Bilderberg Europa Hotel where we had a nice dinner in the Lion King themed restaurant. We were also allowed to make use of the swimming pool and got free entrance to the Holland Casino (which we skipped).
The musical was spectacular! Glad we had the chance to see it. Real Disney quality.
The second day we first went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire before we headed back home.
The last two weeks were busy weeks for our mailman. Every 3 days he had to deliver a large box to our front door. The reason: my brother and I decided to expand our guitar-collection.

Saturday
You don't get a lot of sleep on a weekend like this. I felt like I just went to bed when Anky woke me around 10 in the morning. Today we decided to avoid the long waiting times at the supermarket and get our breakfast at the festival area. The La Place sold nice warm cheese sandwiches and fresh orange juice. After this and some coffee we were ready to go.
I just got back home from a trip to Amsterdam. Reason: a Kaiser Chiefs concert in Paradiso. My brother bought two tickets and asked me to come along. Couldn't refuse that of course!
Going to Amsterdam by train costs a lot of time. Half an hour for getting to the nearest train station, and then 2,5 hours in the train. Paradiso is a half hour walk from Amsterdam Central.

Friday
I'm still suffering from a post-festival cold, including a throat age, running nose and red eyes, but that was one great long weekend! I think this might have been the best LowLands festival out of the three editions that I attended. I will give a detailed report of this festival in three posts, each one covering a different day and the last covering two days.
